Near Copenhagen
Wittrup Motel is located centrally in-between Copenhagen and Roskilde. The distance to the center of Copenhagen is 15 km and 18 km to Copenhagen Airport. Public transport is good and ample and there is an extensive network of roads and highways in all directions.
The area
Near the motel you will find the forest Vestskoven, one of the largest forests
near Copenhagen. The forest offers a nice experience of local nature. If you
want to go to the beach you will find Ishøj beach located only 8 km from the
motel. Located only 2 km from the motel you will find an open air swimming pool
with water slides. Only 10 minutes away by car, or 20 minutes by public transport,
you will find the largest shopping mall in Scandinavia with around 110 stores.
Within a radius of 15 km you will find a range of splendid attractions such as Tivoli, Copenhagen Zoo, Roskilde cathedral (where the Danish kings and queens are buried), the Viking ship museum and Arken (the Danish museum of contemporary art).
